Someone better write a Romantasy about last night’s event because it was magical and we LOVED it 💖

Thank you to all who showed up, made dragon wing bookmarks, wrote fantasy pick up lines, voted on Romantasy superlatives, debated fav/least fav tropes (enemies to lovers ftw), chatted with fellow genre readers, and took advantage of our Romantasy preorder deals + free ARCs ✨

Shout out to Abigail Kelly and S. E. Wendel for adding a professional take to our games/activity and writing such cool and sexy romantasy books 🫶

This will not be our last Romantasy Night! But in the meantime…what other genres would make for a great party??? 🤔💜

Et voilà! A belated new release book pile (and a pair of glasses from our lost and found)!

That’s right, John Green’s HOLLYWOOD, ENDING is finally here. Kit highly recommends it to anyone who liked Heart the Lover, I’m Glad My Mom Died, Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, or any John Green gem out there (and will wear/cherish the sunglasses if they are not claimed).

If any of these books jump out to you (or if these are your sunglasses) be sure to swing by the store!

Have a great weekend 😎

Craft night was SO FUN!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for giggles and collaging. The positive, creative vibes were unmatched, and WOW do we have some talented artists.

Thank for to Art Haus San Francisco, who showed us how to seal collages in Encaustic Wax (which looked and smelled amazing btw). And shout out to everyone who helped us gather supplies!

Can’t wait for next time 🎨

Happy Emily St. John Mandel week!

To be clear, there are a LOT of great authors releasing books this week. Our booksellers just all happen to love Mandel’s work. And EXIT PARTY is no exception…

“Emily St. John Mandel delivers another stunning dystopian novel. EXIT PARTY transcends more than time (thanks to quantum entanglement). Compelling characters, beautiful writing, and a story that’s impossible to put down- this book is a mirror that displays the broken parts of your country, your past, and the person you could’ve been in another life…and you won’t be able to look away.”

Come get a signed indie exclusive copy today!!

Noe Valley has the COOLEST neighbors.

Our neighbors, a pop-up called streetside chai, opens their garage door once a month to share homemade chai and treats with our community— always free, with a donation option for those who can. Every dollar goes directly to causes that need support.

THIS month, we are lucky enough to host streetside chai right outside the bookstore! Swing by 11am-1pm, where this pop-up will be handing out goodies while supplies last.

If you’re able to donate, your contribution will go to another local superstar, Children’s Book Project.

Be sure to follow the wonderful streetside chai on substack or check them out on Google to keep up with their good and yummy deeds.
