✨Friendly Fall Reminder✨
Fallen leaves create habitat and winter shelter for overwintering pollinators, butterflies, and beneficial insects. Plus, as they break down, they act as free fertilizer for your landscape, insulating plant roots through winter, and enriching your soil with organic nutrients. Check out our tips below, and consider leaving the leaves for your local wildlife this season🐛
🍁Rake fallen leaves directly into flower beds, shrub borders, or vegetable patches to suppress weeds, retain moisture, and protect soil from harsh winter freezes.
🍁If your HOA requires a clean lawn, run your lawnmower over the leaves to shred them into fine pieces. They’ll slip hidden between the grass blades, feeding your turf without violating neighborhood guidelines!
🍁Pile leaves in a corner of your yard to break down into rich leaf mold which can be used as a nutrient-dense soil amendment for spring planting.
🍁Wrap or pile dry leaves around sensitive outdoor containers or perennial bases as a quick insulating blanket.
