Looks like a beautiful Saturday in Hintonburg!
Our DJ today is Erin from San Francisco! She’s spun in the store many times over the years! Come hang (and dig!)

DJ Alert!
We’ve booked two out town DJs over the next two Saturdays! On Saturday July 13th we have DJ Pierre from Istanbul, Turkey and then the following Saturday Erin McD from San Francisco!
Tomorrow DJ Pierre plays a selection of Anatolian Psych Rock, Funky 70s Turkish pop and arabesque,
from 12-4pm.
Next Saturday we have one of our favourite guest DJs, Erin McDermott has DJ’ed many Saturdays in our store over the years, always a good rocking set!
A quick Bio for DJ Pierre,
Pierre grew up in Ottawa, playing in local bands before delving into record digging and DJing in the mid 90’s. He has held residencies in the UK, Finland and Germany. He is currently based in Istanbul Turkey, where he has been digging into the local music culture, as well as hosting a monthly radio show, Sound Travels for radio.d59b.com (Belgrade/Berlin)

See you there tomorrow!!

I sat down with Taka of today and played some guitars through his pedals n amps. Check out his cool Johnny Winter shirt! I recently acquired some of Fred Cole of Dead Moon’s guitars and wanted the proper setting to play and photograph them. Taka has an incredible collection of vintage Marshalls, pedals, weird n vintage guitars, and we had a super cool time. I’ll be posting Fred’s guitars here over the next few days, including this Supro Belmont pictured… Bakelite parts! Thank you Taka & stay tuned for individual detailed posts of each guitar. 📸:
