Dedicated to serving Bay Area gardeners for the last five decades, Sloat Garden Center is an independently owned garden center with 12 locations. With the most California Certified Nursery Professionals in Northern California, Sloat Garden Center has become one of the premier garden centers in North America, offering quality products, broad plant selection and knowledgeable customer service. History:
Sloat Garden Center started in 1958 as part of G.E.T. The first store, which was only seven thousand square feet, was located at the corner of 34th Avenue and Sloat Boulevard in San Francisco. In 1968 the store moved to a larger location and the name was changed to Sloat Garden Center. Always independently owned, over the past five decades Sloat Garden Center has grown to 12 stores serving San Francisco, Marin, and Contra Costa counties.

You’re invited to our second annual Fall Harvest Festival, this Saturday, the 19th in Petaluma!

Join us for a blueberry pruning demonstration, a succulent pumpkin workshop, and local artisans and vendors. Enjoy family friendly activities like a kid’s craft, face painting, Music Time with Farmer Arann, and a harvest scavenger hunt. Grab a coffee or c***r and listen to local bluegrass artists while you soak in the autumnal vibes.

🥬 Winter veggies are in stores now. September is a great time to plant cool-season produce like lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts, to name a few. (We recommend waiting until October 1 in the East Bay)
