Here’s a tribute to 5 particular items that sold over the weekend in our eBay etsy & Poshmark shops, exemplifying the extremes of inventory turnover.
Our pricing is more for the long dollar vs the quick nickel (for items without similar competitors) and sometimes that means the right customer doesn’t come along for a LONG time.
The punk cd lot, kids belt and Marilyn sweatshirt were all very long in the tooth (MM was retail arbitraged 11 years ago with numerous sell-similar/relists annually).
The cd lot came from a time when flat-lay pics didn’t necessarily have a white background.
All still managed to make a profit though the overhead through the ensuing years cannot be calculated.
Our cost for all 3 couldn’t have been more than $20.
At the other end of the spectrum, ‘Twilight’ was listed for only a week and the coffee mug since July. Our cost for both was under $1 (in fact, the cd came from 5 music lots with hundreds of discs for a total of $35)
We still have 2 more of the Kentucky K**b cups, too.
Anyway, having these 5 different means of exhilaration sprinkled within the weekend sales was quite motivating!
As always, the purpose of this content isn’t to flip brag or give hard sell but to merely showcase the range of cool products that we offer and continually curate.
Who knows, perhaps there’s something in our store of interest right now that someone hasn’t bought out from under you… yet.
