Mike Reynolds Fretwork and Guitar Repair My name is Mike Reynolds. I've lived most of my life in the South San Jose area. I do complete fret jobs and fret leveling on electric, acoustic and bass guitar.

I have 35 years experience as a NASA trained research machinist and have been building and repairing guitars most of my adult life. Any guitar will play and sound better after the frets have been properly leveled, crowned and polished. Notes just ring much clearer and the guitar resonates better. Notes just ring much clearer and the guitar resonates better. If you would like your guitar to have that tone you've been chasing, please give me a call. A lot of beginning guitar players give up and never realize their full potential because their guitar is too hard to play. It hasn't been set up for optimum playability. My prices are much lower than any repair shop around and I can usually have your guitar back to you in a few days. Prices start at around $225 plus cost of materials for a bolt on neck like a Fender. If you're going with taller frets you probably need a new nut. I make custom nuts out of bone for $50. A fret level with set up is $110. Many of my customers are working musicians. Some work for or own guitar shops here in the Bay Area..
