**Good AV takes more than good equipment. But training doesn't have to be complicated.**

We've been talking about the value of training, and there's something worth remembering: not everyone who works with AV wants to become an AV expert.

Some people want to understand the technology, sharpen their skills, and learn the ins and outs of audio, video, and live production.

Others are volunteers who simply want to know how to turn everything on, run a presentation, use a microphone, and feel confident that things will work when it's time to begin.

**And there's room for both.**

Training shouldn't feel intimidating. It should meet people where they are and help them do what they need to do.

Sometimes that means going deeper into the technology. Other times, it means making sure someone can walk into a room, use the system, and get the results they're looking for without feeling overwhelmed.

That's part of what we believe good AV is about: having the right tools, making them as intuitive as possible, and helping people feel supported in using them.

At AVIMO, we offer training at your facility, small-group classes at our warehouse, and customized sessions built around your team's needs.

For those of us who work in AV, that usually means one thing:
The real work is about to begin.
While most people are heading into their weekend, AV teams are setting up, testing, troubleshooting, making adjustments, and getting ready to serve.

To all the people behind the scenes who make events happen:
We see you.
We hope everything goes smoothly this weekend. We hope the signal is clean, the microphones behave, the presentation shows up when it should, and everything works the way you planned it.

But if it doesn't?
We're here for you.

Some relationships start before the project does.

Our work with New North Church began in 2025. But we've known some of the people on their team for over a decade.

We've worked alongside them through other churches, other projects, and different seasons of ministry. So when we began working with New North, there was already a relationship to build on.

Since then, the work has taken many different forms—training, service, troubleshooting, lighting, audio, and helping them work through the technology already in their space.

That's one of the things we value about long-term relationships.

The project may change. The needs may change. But the relationship continues.

We're grateful for the people who have trusted us over the years, and for the opportunity to keep showing up.

The technology doesn’t make it happen. People do.

Behind every service, event, presentation, and production are people making sure the technology supports what’s happening in the room.

The person at the sound board.
The person running the cameras.
The person watching the monitors.
The person at the lighting console.
The person troubleshooting when something doesn’t go as planned.

We expect a lot from these teams. And if we want professional results, we have to give people what they need to do their jobs well.

Time to prepare.
Clear communication.
The right equipment.
Training and support.

Because a seamless experience doesn’t just happen.

One client. So many different events.

Our relationship with the San Francisco Zoo has given us the opportunity to be part of some pretty different events over the years.

Weddings.
Conferences.
Graduations.
Special events.
Outdoor productions.
Cooking fundraisers.
And currently their Sunset Fridays.

Different events. Different spaces. Different AV needs.

But that's one of the things we value about a long-term relationship.

We get to know the spaces.
We learn how things work.
We understand what the client needs.

And when something new comes up, we already have a relationship to build on.

You don't have to know the AV answer before you call.

When the technology works, you don’t notice it.

That’s exactly how it should be.

The microphone works.
The presentation displays.
The sound reaches the room.
The lighting does what it needs to do.

The technology supports what’s happening without becoming the thing everyone is thinking about.

When the technology works, you don't notice it.

A church service.
A boardroom meeting.
A wedding.
A school presentation.
A special event.

Different settings. Different needs. But one thing they have in common:

The technology needs to work.

When the microphone cuts out, the presentation won't display, or the audio isn't reaching the room clearly, the technology suddenly becomes part of the experience — for all the wrong reasons.

A little preparation can prevent a lot of those interruptions.

Test the system. Test it in the actual space. Test it again before people arrive. And make sure someone knows who's responsible for the technology.

Because when the AV is doing its job, the people in the room can focus on what actually matters.

That's what we want for every space we work in.
