Once upon a time there were two little girls, who never had any idea they’d own a retail store.

Fast forward a few decades and a lot of PTO meetings later: two moms turned business partners turned shopkeepers on the square in San Marcos. We didn’t plan this. We just kept saying “someone should open a store like that” until we just decided to do it.

Which is exactly why Kids Take Over feels so full circle. Saturday, a whole new generation of little girls and boys get to find out they can run a store too, even if it’s just for a day. 💚

Come check out our seriously talented youth vendors, get helped by some of the most enthusiastic shopkeepers we’ve ever had, and soak in the immaculate vibes. Junior shopkeepers, greeters, bag decorators, personal shoppers, popcorn peddlers, this place is about to run entirely on kid power.
