Behind the Scenes Sneak Peek:
Before leather can be sewn in to a bag, often the edges need to be skived, or made thinner, to make it easier to sew and lessen the bulk at seams. Here's me skiving the front piece of the current bag I'm working on. It's amazing how many steps there are before I actually get to sit down and start sewing. Sometimes I feel like 90% of my time is prep and only 10% is sewing! lol.

You know I can’t venture into a fabric store without picking up something gorgeous! Here’s the results of a recent fabric store trip: a lush, romantic floral skull print, a sinister raven print, and a gorgeous Tula Pink owl print. The Raven is already spoken for. But I’m looking for ideas for the Floral Skull and Owl prints. Maybe a coffin crossbody bag with the Floral Skull? Hmmm….. Put any suggestions you have in the comments!
