120th Anniversary Celebration for Takahashi Market
Please join the family and staff of Takahashi Market as we celebrate our 120th year in business! We're having a party to thank our friends, customers, vendors, and business partners who have supported us for so many years and generations.
When: Sunday, September 27, 2026
Program & Live music: 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
Where: Parking Lot in front of Takahashi Market
A performance by San Mateo Buddhist Temple Taiko will start the festivities, followed by live Hawaiian music by Pōmaika’i ⁠. Throughout the day we will offer food from our kitchen, raffle prizes, and a performance by SMBT Gracious Ladies & Friends under the direction of nā Kumu Hula Deb Leiolani Garcia & John Shima. Plus--a few more surprises.

Our market will be closed for the party, but there will be pop up booths in our parking lot.

Note: There will be NO parking in our lot, because that’s the venue for the party! Because of construction in the area, there is limited street parking. There are several public garages within walking distance of our store, including the parking lot on the first floor of Verkada, the large building on South Claremont just half a block south of us (enter on South Claremont from 3rd Ave side--do not try from the 4th Ave side)

Ride your bike to Sept Fest and take advantage of Sports Basement's free bicycle valet service. Park your bike safely at the Sports Basement booth at 1st Ave & S B St (near My Dumpling) and enjoy the festival worry-free.
