We always enjoy getting messages like this from Shrew bowhunters around the world.

Our Shrew Crew Facebook group is celebrating its 7th anniversary! Words cannot truly express how proud we are of what we have built together here.
This group has become so much more than just an online space. It’s a global family of like-minded traditional archers who share the exact same passion, philosophy, and dedication. The Shrew Crew and the Shrew Bow Challenge are inextricably linked. With over 1,000 members from all around the world, it is incredible to see archers from so many different countries coming together every single year for our annual tournament—a tradition now running strong for 5 straight years.
We want to send a huge, heartfelt thank you to Helmut Poto. Helmut leads and manages this group with endless passion—he is truly the beating heart behind the scenes of this community. Thank you for your incredible work, Helmut!

🏆 FIVE YEARS. THREE CONTENDERS. ONE WORLD CHAMPION.

For five years, the Shrew Bow Challenge has brought together Shrew Bow shooters and bowhunters from around the world.

Every year, archers from around 10 different countries take on the Challenge. But simply competing isn’t enough to make the World Ranking.

You have to earn your place.

Only those who compete can become a Top Hunter. And only the 20 best Shrew Bow shooters of each Challenge receive the coveted Top Hunter Patch and earn points toward the Shrew Bows World Ranking.

No Top 20 finish. No points. No World Ranking.

After five years of competition, those points have now created something very special.

At the 5th Shrew Bow Challenge 2026, we revealed the World Ranking for the very first time — and crowned our first Shrew Bows World Champion.

🥇 🇨🇭 TIMO DÖSCHER – 86 POINTS

Five Challenges.
Five Top Hunter finishes.
Five consecutive years of World Ranking points.

That incredible consistency puts Timo Döscher from Switzerland at the very top and earns him the official title:

🏆 SHREW BOWS WORLD CHAMPION 2026

But take a look behind him — because this story is far from over.

🥈 🇩🇪 DENIS ALTENDORF – 72 POINTS

Denis has collected points in four consecutive Challenges and finished an outstanding 2nd in the World Ranking.

And right behind him:

🥉 🇩🇪 FLORIAN BARTL – 68 POINTS

Just four points behind Denis and only 18 points separating him from the World Champion.

86. 72. 68.

Three shooters. Three incredible records. And things are getting seriously tight at the top. 🔥🏹

Because this World Ranking never stands still.

At the next Shrew Bow Challenge, new points will be added — while the oldest results from 2022 will drop out. Every Challenge can change everything.

To become Shrew Bows World Champion, there is only one way:

Show up. Take the Challenge. Become a Top Hunter. Earn your points.

And maybe one day your name will be sitting at the very top.
