🎸 They’ve learned the instrument. Now it’s time to make some music.

There’s something different that happens when young musicians stop practicing alone and start playing together. They learn to listen, adapt, take risks, recover from mistakes, and trust themselves—and suddenly, their confidence starts showing up both onstage and off. 🎤
Pop & Rock Academy gives kids, age 12–15, the chance to experience what it’s really like to be in a band.
🎶 Play songs they love

🤝 Collaborate with other young musicians
🔥 Build confidence & stage presence
🎸 Learn the skills that only come from playing together
🌟 Perform LIVE at HopMonk Tavern in Novato!

No pressure to be perfect. Just a chance to play, grow, connect, and have fun.

📅 Next Session Starts January 6 • 9 weeks
👥 Small group • Limited spots
🎤 Ages 12–15 • 1+ year experience

Less practicing alone. More making music together. 🎸

🎤 Join us Saturday, November 14, 6-8pm for Open Mic Night at The Magic Flute!

One of the things we love most about Open Mic is seeing families share music together—both kids and adults performing and families cheering them on with friends and relatives filling the room with encouragement. It’s a welcoming space where musicians and singers of all ages and skill levels can take the stage and share a song with a supportive audience.

Bring the whole family to perform or simply enjoy the music. Sign in at the door and performers are chose randomly.
Whether you’re performing, supporting a young musician, or just looking for a fun evening out together, we’d love to see you there.

🕠 Sign-ups begin at 5:30pm
🎶 Music starts at 6:00pm
💛 Free to attend and participate

Congratulations Luke, our newest “Your Music Story” Sweepstakes winner! 🎉✨

At 15 years old, Luke is already seeing music as more than just something to listen to or play. He takes guitar lessons with Nicco Alifano and understands the incredible power music has to bring people together. 🎸🎶

When we asked Luke what he loves about music, he shared:

“It brings people together. When playing music or attending a concert, everyone puts their differences aside. No hate. No hurt. Just people and peace coming together to have a good time.”

What a wonderful perspective. ❤️ Music has a way of breaking down barriers, creating connection, and reminding us that we have more in common than we think.

Thank you for sharing such a thoughtful perspective, Luke. Keep playing, keep bringing people together, and keep spreading peace through music! 🎸✌️🎶
