Hope you’re loving our BTS (and REAL) clips from an orientation day walkthrough at NEX. These are not training sessions or lessons, simply orientations prior to getting into all that. Our commercial diving and salvage company (sister company) is an extreme test bed for all our dive gear. If it doesn’t make that job easier AND hold up to that environment, we simply aren’t making it. This was the reason we created NEX in the first place.

Not only do our SQC buckles reduce task loading getting INTO a BCD or BPW, they are substantially easier to get yourself or a loved-one OUT of their gear in an emergency. To answer a common misconception: they stay locked in place when buckled, without issues or accidentally coming undone.

But anyway, we have the SQC buckle that holds fast and releases even faster, cutting down bulk, moving parts, and task loading. ALSO: These DO NOT randomly come un buckled as some have questioned. They do, however, improve safety for fast ditching or removal of gear.

Strong webbing that dries quickly is just as important as the rest of the gear. Little things matter because we use our gear, too. PS Our commercial diving side salvaged this car - brought it to the ramp and let the tow truck do the rest!

We make two thicknesses of webbing (primarily for backplate & wing harness)
1 RED LINE: TEAM STIFF, holds its shape even when wet, easier to feed through quickly.
2 RED LINES: TEAM SOFT: More cloth-like feel.
When ordering a BPW, let us know which you prefer.
