You guys... I REALLY wish I would've thought about renting totes for renovations. 😂

That was an adventure in itself! We've gone through 3 renovations in one year, and having totes would've made life so much easier.

Instead of piling things wherever they'll fit while you're working, pack them into totes and label them by room or section — kitchen, bathroom, pantry, décor, etc.

Then when the renovation is finally finished (🙌), you know exactly where everything belongs and can put your home back together without digging through a million random boxes.

Moving isn't the only adventure totes can help with. 💛🖤

Renovating? Rent the totes. Organize the chaos. Return them when you're done.

We've been slowly working on branding our totes and letting our community know Adventure Totes is here — and we just checked another little milestone off the list. 😁

Our stickers came in!

And naturally, I put the boys straight to work. 😂💛🖤

A huge thank you to Signs & Stitches for helping us bring another piece of Adventure Totes to life. Thank you for being flexible and understanding, taking the time to educate us and answer our questions, and most of all, for just being some pretty awesome humans to work with.

Starting a small business comes with a LOT of learning as you go, and having another local business take the time to help you through the process means more than people probably realize.

The stickers look amazing, and seeing our name officially going onto our totes makes this little business of ours feel just a little more real. 🥹

Of course, around here Adventure Totes is a family operation — so getting all those stickers on called for a little extra manpower. And apparently hard work deserves cookies. 🍪😂

We appreciate the time, effort, and care you put into helping us and our business, and we can't wait to tell people exactly where these came from!

Apparently our totes are taking the word Adventure seriously. 😂💛

One of our little 17-gallon totes recently left Sand Springs and headed out on a 3-day road trip to Illinois!

Everything I needed for the trip fit inside ONE tote, and off we went. 📦🚗

Along the way, it got to see the St. Louis Arch through the rain, pass by the world’s largest catsup bottle, make a Route 66 stop, and tag along for a concert in St. Louis. 🤘

And then came the real test…

Could everything I packed PLUS everything I bought along the way fit back inside for the trip home?

Yep. 😂

By the time we stopped at Buc-ee’s, that little tote was carrying quite a bit more than what left Oklahoma—and it all made it home.

Adventure Totes may have started as a way to make moving easier, but this was a pretty fun reminder that sometimes a tote is useful for the adventures that have nothing to do with moving at all. 💛

Sand Springs ➡️ Illinois ➡️ St. Louis ➡️ Sand Springs

One tote. Three days. A few roadside stops. A concert. And definitely more stuff coming home than we left with. 😂

Building a small business doesn’t happen overnight. 💛

Sometimes it’s washing tote lids in the tub, rearranging totes in the car, or changing things up when we find a better way. 😂

And sometimes it’s getting to share our little business with a room full of local Realtors. 🥹

Some of the best people in our lives are the ones who were there for the ridiculous stories, bad ideas, big changes, moving days, and everything in between.

The kind of people who can look at you years later,

and have everybody laughing like it happened yesterday. 😂

What's one thing you learned from moving that you wish somebody had told you BEFORE the move?

Could be something practical.

A lot of what we've been working on lately doesn't make for the most exciting pictures. 😂

No big deliveries. No trailer full of totes. Mostly just a lot of time sitting behind a computer getting the little things right.

We've been working on the Adventure Totes website, getting our Ready Box labels finished up, and putting together some of the behind-the-scenes pieces that will hopefully make things simple when it's time for somebody to actually move.

It's definitely not the glamorous side of starting a business. 😂

But we're learning pretty quickly that there's a whole lot of work that happens before a tote ever shows up in somebody's driveway.

Little by little, we're getting there. 🌳
