🩷Let’s introduce ourselves!🩷
⭐️ Hi! I’m Kimberly, I have been married to my husband Dan for 18 years and we have 3 daughters. Eden and Adalyn are 12 year old twins, and Mercy is 11. I homeschool my three girls and it is a blessing for me to be able to be home with them as they learn and grow! Nicole is my best friend and we do all of life together, we met at our church and have been inseparable for about 10 years now! When she pitched the idea of buying the candle company to me I immediately said, why not? We have enjoyed so much testing samples and pouring these candles that we love, and we hope you will love them just as much as we do!
⭐️ Hey, friends! I’m Nicole! Darrell and I have also been married 18 years. We have five kiddos: Tristan (16), Logan (15), Lizzie (10), Bekah (6), and Wyatt (3). We also homeschool our crew and run a couple businesses from home. It’s often crazy around here, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. When I was mulling over the idea of buying my brother in law’s candle business, I knew immediately I wanted Kimberly with me. We do everything else together- church, our girls dance, activities, and some of the best game nights you could imagine! It only made sense that we’d do this together too. I’m so thankful for the opportunity to do this with her! We’ve been carefully sampling and working hard to create a product we can be proud to put in the home of our friends and family. We hope that each of you fall in love with these scents and that our candles can be a part of each of your homes. ❤️
♥️So what’s with this name? “Consider the Lillies Candle Co.”
♥️When we were discussing all our initial plans, Kimberly shared this name idea with us. It comes from Luke 12:22-31. Jesus is teaching His disciples, and as He often does, using tangible world examples to point out eternal truths. Earlier in the chapter He is explaining to them how we shouldn’t fix our eyes on worldly gains and our possessions, and He leads into how our hearts can often become anxious when we worry about things we *think* we need to. Scripture is so clear that our Heavenly Father cares so deeply for His children, and provides for us the things we actually need. Our hearts don’t need to be weighed down with anxieties, because He is faithful to meet our needs and provide for us even when we don’t see a way.
♥️We wanted this name to be a reminder of the Lord’s faithfulness in our own lives over the years, and a testimony to our customers of how deeply our Heavenly Father cares for us.
♥️The passage says:
“And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest? Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass, which is alive in the field today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith! And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, nor be worried. For all the nations of the world seek after these things, and your Father knows that you need them. Instead, seek his kingdom, and these things will be added to you.”
