w a t e r s t o r a g e // Dylan building an 1,800 gallon ferrocement water storage cistern for the water he collects for us in the forest.

It was a laborious process. Our friend helped with digging the hole with his excavator. Then the hand labor began.

Using a metal wire mesh and cement system, Dylan built the sturdy structure.

Dylan used a beeswax mix to seal the walls of the water tank. The water is clean and fresh, ready for use.

It is especially useful during winter when water freezes and he can’t collect water from the forest springs.

We’ll post about the water collection from the forest later.

Note: the area where it was built was already open. No trees were felled for the build.

Dylan has been making mostly customs for clients for the last 5 years and has little time to make other knives. Sometimes, he takes days off a client’s project to make knives for those who catch them on his website, before they are gone.
