A rainy Sunday morning gives a particular kind of permission.
Permission to stay in. To stand at the window and take in the Georgia autumn mist and color and quiet. To make coffee and not rush the drinking of it. To let the morning stretch out unhurried while the rain does what it does.
At the Sandy Springs Farmers Market we found this braided chocolate babka loaf from theloaf_atl and it felt like exactly the right thing for a morning like this. The prettiest loaf we have ever seen. Almost too beautiful to slice. Almost.
This is your permission to slow down. It doesn’t need to be remarkable, but it can be quiet, simple, and sacred.
