Our one-year anniversary is already here! We can't believe how fast time has gone. Thank you for all of the encouragement and support we've received. We are so grateful to be part of this community!

Come celebrate with us Saturday, June 20 & Sunday, June 21. We'll be setting up a free bookmark decorating station in the lounge, and will have lots of local author books, new paperback and hardcover fiction, coffee mugs, stickers, and other fun merchandise items in-stock. Plus, get one of our new tote bags for free, when you spend $75 or more (swipe for sneak peek).

We’ve restocked gift baskets! The sci-fi basket from last week is still available, as well as a contemporary romance, magical realism, and literary fiction (this one is one of Alex’s personal favorites). Prices vary depending on the book.

Each basket contains a Blind-Date book, Once Upon a Tome bookmark and sticker, plus a 5oz scented candle, large beeswax candle, a small peony bud beeswax candle, two bee stickers, and a matchbook all from The Fox and The Bee.

We are excited to announce our next book signing with Steven Christiansen, author of The Blue Line Letters. Swing by the store on Saturday, May 16 from 12pm-2pm, to meet Steven and purchase a signed copy of his book📖

Steven Christiansen grew up in Idaho and now calls Oregon home after living here for 30+ years. The Blue Line Letters is set in Portland as a teenager rides the MAX every day to work for a summer job. A lot can (and does) happen when you ride the MAX for three hours every day for three months! Currently nominated as one of Foreword’s Best YA Books of 2025 and a Multnomah County Library Best Book for Teens 2025, The Blue Line Letters is a fun, engaging read for teens and adults.

We’re doing gift baskets again, just in time for Mother’s Day! Available for purchase in-store now. 💐

Each basket has one of our Blind Date books inside, with a Once Upon a Tome bookmark and sticker, plus a 5oz scented candle, large beeswax candle, a small peony bud beeswax candle, 2 bee stickers, and a matchbook, all from The Fox and The Bee.

We currently have a cozy mystery or a sci-fi to choose from, and will be bringing in more soon! Basket prices will range $70-75.

Seats are limited, reserve your spot in-store, or DM us for electronic payment options.
$20 per person - art supplies, snacks, and beverages will be provided, but feel free to bring your own as well!
