Washer Repair — Drain Pump Replacement

What was wrong:
The washer was stopping mid-cycle because it was draining too slowly. The drain pump was not removing water quickly enough, preventing the washer from progressing to the higher-speed spin cycle. The technician diagnosed the drain pump motor assembly as the failed component.

How we fixed it:
We returned with the replacement drain pump motor assembly and safely removed the standing water before beginning the repair. The failed pump was removed and replaced with the new upgraded drain pump assembly. All components were reinstalled, power was restored, and the washer was tested.

The Problem: Significant black debris had accumulated beneath the washing machine agitator and along the base of the unit, indicating a buildup that needed attention.

The Solution: Our technician removed the agitator, thoroughly cleaned the agitator and machine base, and extracted additional debris during a follow-up service. A washing machine cleaning tablet was then placed inside the unit to assist with the cleaning process.

The Next Step: The owner was advised to run a courtesy wash cycle and provide feedback on the results.

Appliance Repair Spotlight: Cooktop Control Switch Replacement

What Was Wrong?
A 5-year-old cooktop was experiencing an intermittent electrical issue caused by a faulty dual-element control switch. Although the switch tested normally during inspection, it could randomly malfunction and allow power to continue flowing to the heating element without proper regulation.

How We Fixed It:
Our technician performed diagnostic testing to identify the root cause. Once the replacement part arrived, we safely disconnected the power, dismounted and disassembled the cooktop to access the defective switch, and replaced it with a new component. The cooktop was then reassembled, and power was restored.

The Result:
Post-repair testing was successful, confirming that the repair was completed and the cooktop was functioning properly during testing.

Repair Completed!

During a recent appliance service call, our technician inspected a dishwasher and found a hole in the drain hose, which was causing a drainage problem.

How We Fixed It:
We replaced the damaged drain hose and then ran the dishwasher through testing to make sure it was draining and operating properly.

The Result:
The dishwasher is back to working properly!

While on-site, we also tested the dryer and confirmed it was operating correctly. The washer’s water supply had been turned off, so we restored the water supply, tested the washer, and confirmed it was working properly as well.

Appliance Repair Spotlight: Wall Oven Repair Success!

What Was Wrong?
The customer’s wall oven displayed an F96 error code, indicating a problem with the cooling fan system. During diagnosis, our technician identified issues requiring replacement of the cooling fan and Hall sensor. Further testing also revealed electrical arcing on the main electronic control board, indicating an additional component failure.

How We Fixed It:
Our technician replaced the cooling fan and Hall sensor and tested the unit. During further inspection, electrical arcing was discovered on the main control board. After explaining the additional findings and receiving the customer’s approval, we returned on October 7, 2026, to install a replacement main control board.

The Result:
After installation, the oven was tested and operated without issues during the final inspection.

Why Proper Diagnostics Matter: An appliance error code doesn't always tell the whole story. Thorough testing helps technicians uncover underlying electrical issues.
