Business has been slow, so let’s take the time to figure out how long it REALLY takes me to assemble a necklace— this is the final step of the making process, so I thought it would only take me a min or two— it didn’t.

This one necklace took MANY hours of my time between experimenting, sourcing, collaborating, and that’s all before marketing and (hopefully) selling the piece.

I know things are tight for everyone right now, so I’m working really hard to try to keep my prices low, in the hopes that more of you come out to shop.

This necklace is $75, it has a real flower in it, and is backed by a real butterfly wing, and it is also color-changing based on body heat. And oh yeah, it’s waterproof and won’t fade from everyday wear (including showers).

I work really hard on these, and I do think they are still under-priced— for context, if I could sell 50 in one month, I could pay my rent, but only 7 charms turned out. I don’t think I could make 50 in one month.

It’s really important for us all to shop more intentionally right now, especially so please stop price comparing small artisan work to the mass-produced things you find online. When you shop from us, you’re supporting a creative human, not feeding a huge corporation.

Anyway, this assembly took just over 3 mins. The full creation of the piece (sourcing and craft work) took something like 5 hours over several days. Do you think I’m worth $15/ hour?
