The harvest is dark.

There is a moment when an orchard changes.
The harvest has passed, but not everything was taken.

Fruit remains on the branches.
Some has fallen.

Sweetness deepens. Wood darkens with age and weather.
What was once cultivated and abundant slowly begins returning to the earth.

That was the place behind BLACK ORCHARD.

Dark fruit and aged wood surround the deep, luxurious character of oudh, creating something rich and shadowed without becoming overwhelmingly heavy or sweet.

Autumn has arrived at Redwood Alchemy.

For the past few weeks, signs have been appearing.

A crossroads in the dark.
A ritual remembered.
A harvest left too long.
A crow overhead.
Strange lights moving somewhere beyond the trees.

Now, all five have appeared.

SIGNS & OMENS

CROSSROADS
Sweet earth, dark caramel, to***co, rum, candle wax and cold night air.

RITUAL
Cool air through an open doorway. Old house. Wool. Something loved.

BLACK ORCHARD
Dark fruit, old wood and oud. Beauty past its prime.

CROW
Dry. Bitter. Black. Anise and wormwood carried on cold air.

FOXFIRE
Damp earth, mushrooms and strange green light moving through the woods.

All five fragrances are now available individually, along with the Signs & Omens Discovery Sets.

But this is bigger than Signs & Omens.

Some of you have been here long enough to remember this one.

Harvest Spice is coming back.

It’s been part of Autumn at Redwood Alchemy since the early days. With this year’s theme being Things Lost & Remembered, leaving it behind didn’t feel right.

Pumpkin spice. Apricot. Apple. Milk. Honey. Musk.

Warm cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and clove wrapped around ripe fruit, creamy milk and honey, soft musk, tonka, and the suggestion of fallen leaves.

It’s sweet.
It’s warm.
It’s unapologetically Autumn.

And after spending this year creating fragrances about strange roads, old rituals, dark orchards and things waiting out there in the woods…
