Looking back: what February's disruption taught the glove industry
Earlier this year, instability around the Strait of Hormuz sent ripples through global oil markets โ and with it, the raw materials behind nearly every nitrile and vinyl glove on the market. NBR costs climbed sharply, and buyers across the PPE industry were left re-evaluating quotes that no longer reflected the world they were sourcing in.
At the time, we shared our perspective: that in moments of volatility, the real differentiator isn't the lowest number on a quote โ it's the supplier who can maintain consistency, transparency, and continuity when conditions are shifting fast.
Several months on, that view holds up. Markets have started to stabilize, but the partners who came out strongest were the ones who prioritized direct sourcing relationships and long-term reliability over short-term savings.
That's the standard GP Craft holds itself to โ not only when headlines demand it, but every day.
Stronger supply chain. A safer tomorrow.
