Sam Bair was born in Menominee Michigan and grew up in Peshtigo Wisconsin. He graduated from Illinois State University and went on to teach for 12 years before relocating to Aspen Colorado. While in Colorado he helped build the Aspen Community School campus in Woody Creek and began his own wood working shop in 1972. After moving to Santa Fe New Mexico he continued to produce his own unique interpr

etation of Cowboy High Style furniture from his commercial wood working shop. He has been featured in books and magazines, from Cowboy High Style: Thomas Molesworth to the New West by Elizabeth Clair Flood to numerous mentions in Architectural Digest. His furniture can be found in homes throughout the US as well as several other countries.
