This Saturday at SOTE, join us for The Art of the Shirt with E.M. Reitz.

E.M. Reitz is an American shirting studio devoted to exploring the architecture of the shirt and the seemingly endless possibilities contained within this most familiar form.

Inspired by art, architecture, craft, and sculpture, Erin and Brooks Reitz approach shirtmaking with an almost obsessive attention to detail. Exquisite fabrics, exceptional construction, and unexpected proportions transform a wardrobe essential into something singular: garments that marry tradition with innovation and are intended to be worn now and forever.

Rather than following the traditional fashion calendar, E.M. Reitz releases its work in rolling, seasonless Editions. Certain forms return and evolve; others are made once and archived, lending the collection the feeling of an ongoing body of work—and inviting the wearer to become a collector.

Each shirt is designed and developed in the E.M. Reitz studio in Charleston, South Carolina, before being produced in the storied workrooms of Manhattan’s Garment District.

Better and better with age - the Cawley has landed.

Inspired by vintage aviation jackets, the leather flying jacket has a loose and semi cropped silhouette. Cut from waxed leather, the jacket is finished with two patch pockets, chest jet pockets, matching leather binding and an overlapping zip closure.
