The Santa Fe Railyard Community Corporation (The Santa Fe Railyard, Baca Railyard) is deeply saddened by the news of the sexual assault that recently occurred at Railyard Park late Wednesday night October 21. Our thoughts are first and foremost with the survivor. We are deeply sorry for what they have endured, and we are committed to doing everything we can to support them and to find those responsible.

We understand how unsettling this news is for our community, and we know Santa Fe residents care deeply about one another’s safety. If you were in or near Railyard Park on the night of October 21, saw anything unusual, have home or business security video from the area, or have any information at all, please reach out. Even a detail that seems small could make a meaningful difference.

We were honored to host the National Town Builders Association (NTBA, Natl Town Builders Assoc) at the Railyard last week and to be selected as one of their case studies for successful civic projects.

The National Town Builders Association is a network of developers and builders across the country, in small towns, cities, and large urban centers, who pursue residential, commercial, retail, and civic projects of every size, all grounded in the New Urbanist principles of Smart Growth. Their shared goal is to bring the transformative ideas of New Urbanism to all Americans so that more people can live and work in better communities. Members believe they learn the most by sharing ideas and inspiration in a collegial setting, and that by supporting one another’s efforts they raise the quality of everyone’s work. In doing so, today’s Town Builders aim to influence and inspire those who will start the projects of tomorrow.

The “Santa Fe Art, Craft and Vendor Market” listed on Eventbrite by Matthew Clark is not an official Railyard/Railyard Park event, nor has it been permitted by the Santa Fe Railyard or the City of Santa Fe.

No market will be held at the Railyard Park on the advertised date or any future date, and we consider this listing fraudulent. Please do not register as a vendor or send any fees to the organizer. Neither the Railyard (Santa Fe Railyard Community Corporation), the Santa Fe Conservation Trust, nor the City of Santa Fe will be responsible for any fees paid to the market or market producer. 

We have contacted the producer and Eventbrite to remove the posting from the website to eliminate any further confusion.

Effective November 1, 2026, the New Mexico Rail Runner Express will transition to a Fall/Winter schedule. There will be no changes to the Saturday or Sunday train schedule.

Changes:

🚆Train #100 Express – New! This train will depart Downtown Albuquerque at 3:54 a.m. and stop at the Montaño, Los Ranchos / Journal Center, Sandoval Co. / US 550, Santa Fe Co. / NM 599, South Capitol, and Santa Fe Depot Stations.

🚆Train #523 – This train will depart the Santa Fe Depot Station at 8:00 p.m. and make all stops south, ending at the Downtown Albuquerque Station. (Currently departs the Santa Fe Depot at 9:00 p.m.)

🚆Train #525 – This train will depart the Santa Fe Depot Station at 9:00 p.m. every weekday and make all stops south, ending at the Downtown Albuquerque Station. (Currently operates on Thursdays and Fridays only, and departs the Santa Fe Depot at 10:05 p.m.)
