Jewelry | Boutique | Vintage Bijou Indochine was created from my love of jewelry and gemstones.

I love the beauty and positive energy of natural stones and have always wanted to create my own jewelry line. After working for a company that supported female artisans from all over the world and uplifted female entrepreneurs, the urge to start my own business was ignited. My designs are inspired by my Buddhist background, my annual travels to France and my love for the fashionable city that I live in, Los Angeles. Each piece is unique and thoughtfully designed for its esthetic and stone energy. Bijou Indochine pieces are handcrafted in Los Angeles with charms and pendants gathered from my travels in France and Los Angeles. As with all natural gemstones, each piece will be unique and slightly different in color and size. My interpretations of the energy and value of each stone I used are based on books, beliefs and specialists that I love. Wearing specific crystals and gemstones will not cure your immediate problems but with an open mind and positive thoughts, they will be great supports to achieving your goals and healing needs.

Vintage Forever…..purses dating back to the 1950’s that are timeless. Repurpose sewing baskets and turn them into purses or a fancy lunch tote. And how about that red one that reminds me of Judy Garland’s ruby red slippers. 👠

Inspired by our two local beach communities, the Santa Monica (baroque pearl, magnesite star and gold fish) and the Malibu (gemstone fish, conch shell and magnesite star) were made for the endless summer vibes here. We are blocks away from the Santa Monica pier. These, along with the freshwater pearls cross necklaces, are available in store now and soon to be uploaded to our website.

So many people ask me where do I source my vintage items and the answer is “everywhere and every day.” I go to every flea market and vintage shop in every city I travel to. If there’s a small shop or a big flea market there, I will make the time. I wake up and end my day searching eBay and other sites that sell vintage. I’ve driven as far as Santa Barbara (from LA) to purchase kimonos directly from someone who held on to them since the 1960’s. The upcycling seeps into my own lifestyle because I rarely buy anything brand new and prefer a pre loved piece. It feels so good to give these pre loved items a second story.

52 years on this earth today. Never in her wildest dreams did this little girl, in the first photo, could imagine how incredible life would turn out and that the 50’s would be the best decade ever. I have two incredible sons, a husband that I thought only existed in my dreams, a business that I can be passionate about and friends and family who I love and cherish so much. Life hasn’t always been this Instagram pretty and boy have I been through some low lows but that’s what builds character and strength (as us old folks would say😂). So grateful for my village, my tribe and the life I have on this birth day. ✨

Officially relaunched our website ✨ 10 years since I started this brand. I could’ve picked an easier and shorter brand name, an easier one to pronounce and carry products for the mainstream but Bijou Indochine was created because of my passion for making jewelry and it meant something to me to keep my brand close to my cultural heritage. I always say that what we carry is not for everyone, like the vintage Asian jackets and robes, but what we have is exactly what our clientele is looking for. This website is a snippet of what we have in our shop and new products will be added weekly. There will be one of a kind pieces, small batch pieces that will be gone once we sell out and some staple pieces that I’ve been making since 2016. Thank you to the special community that we’ve built and welcome to everyone that’s new here.

Guess who’s getting a facelift?

And it’s about time, too. Our new website will have more products with new products added weekly, better navigation, and a truer representation of what Bijou Indochine has evolved into since selling my first bracelet out of my home back in 2016. Our jewelry is still made in my studio or our shop but now we’ve added so many unique vintage pieces along with gifts in our Edit section.
