We are revisiting the legendary 1893-CC Branch Mint Proof Morgan Dollar!

It is officially back from grading at PCGS Wayne Miller famously claims only 12 pieces were struck, but no one knows exactly where he sourced that info. The true mintage remains a total mystery today.

This is a major piece of history.

We are looking at an absolute holy grail of Carson City coinage: an 1893-CC Morgan Dollar graded PCGS PR62.

When the Carson City Mint officially closed on June 1, 1893, officials marked the final day of coinage operations with a small striking ceremony. According to historical records, just 12 of these Branch Mint Proofs were struck as special souvenirs.

To have 1 of those 12 surviving Branch Mint Proofs sitting right here in our hands is unbelievable.
