Celebrating our 28th harvest season with shared memories of our Caliterranean Cafe, circa 2013/2014, next to what was Clementine Carter Wines ‘s Casa Dumetz, now Clementine Carter in downtown Los Alamos!

Before anyone changed their menu weekly, always organic, local fresh farmers market-only, 7 specials, olive oil pastries, soups , salads, famous grilled cheese sliders, w**e pairings and please don’t forget Ani’s olive oil ice cream which she could never make enough of…so much fun working side by side with my girls Sunita Williams & Anita Williams, sous cheffie pal Jessica. Our new word for exemplary human kindness and happenings from Mother Earth too! But today it was like, “heck why not include phenomenal eurekas of all kinds too?” 🤔 Like everyone else who’s aging I’m trying to gain muscle and live longer, better. My friends Judi (not on IG) and Beth Beaudry have gotten me into yogurt making. Finally I had solid success with some grateful coaching from Beth. 1/2c Ramnosus lactobacterio-whatever (starter from Judi!), 1T fine organic cacao powder from our friends at Santa Barbara Chocolate Co, pinch of allulose and 1T Global Gardens Blood Orange Olive Oil. One of the best desserts ever. You must.

In 1995 we planted organic elephant garlic at Rancho La Cuna in Los Alamos, CA where we also planted the region’s first olive trees specifically for EVOO. Through the years we kept planting, sharing and learning. Yesterday we got this photo from our Clubbie and friend, Farmer Steve (who many of you met at our popup a few weeks ago, selling coffee and berries he and Doreen grow in Goleta). We’d forgotten we gave him some garlic seed so long ago. It’s a beautiful thing to share bounty, creating hope for future generations.
