My 9 year old daughter, Vivian, has been working hard at my side in the studio. She's been throwing small cups, hand building containers, stringing necklaces and making cards. She hopes to make some money, donate some of the proceeds to the Santa Ynez Humane Society and to start a savings account.

the Santa Ynez Humane Society will be bringing dogs, cats and kittens to our garden during the sale that are ready to be adopted!

We can't wait to see all the fun animals and hope to find them some loving homes!

We hiked 21 miles through the Costa Rican jungle on the day we walked past this rock arch on a lonely stretch of beach. It was the final day of a week long backpacking adventure weaving through the Corcovado peninsula seeing tapirs, monkeys, birds and flowers. By the time we crossed three big rivers (crocodiles!) did donuts around a camp of armed men (nervous waves and big grins) and emerged from the forest to a tiny village, our feet were all swollen and our backs sore from our big packs, and we went straight to the only restaurant in town for pizza and beer.

Handbuilt porcelain flowers debut this weekend at our shop I mounted them on thick gauge gold fill wire so they can be added and arranged in any small vase. @ Global Eye Shop & Studio

S H O P G O A L Z
I shimmied stuff all around the shop yesterday to get ready for a big weekend and it looks absolutely fabulous. I’ve been wanting to switch up these shelves from pillows for ages, but I had no idea what would look right. Turns out candles and plants for the win. All around there’s new displays and new stuff, we’re open 12-5 all weekend! Plus we’ll have a super cool coffe cart parked out front today and burger truck on Sunday - don’t miss out! 🖤

These beautiful, muted photos are printed on textured watercolor paper and framed with thin oak. For me each photo is a whole slew of stories from Michaels and my life as traveling photographers. The orange steps are part of an ancient casbah in Morocco where we ate snails from a wooden cart on the street. The car is in Havana, Cuba near where we stood in line for government issued ice cream - $.10 for a sundae. And the stone steps are in a medieval hill top town in Croatia’s beautiful rolling countryside. These and more are available in the shop and online. Thanks to for the beautiful prints and quick helpful service!
