It's going to be a short week over here at the studio. I am leaving on my annual girls trip with my long time girlfriends on Thursday! It is a much needed and much anticipated trip, for sure. Starting a buisness from the ground up is a very stressful thing to do it turns out.🤷🏼‍♀️ 😂

When I get back (rested and relaxed) I will be thinking about new things coming from the studio in the fall. Flower SUBSCRIPTIONS are on my to do list! I want to give the flower farms their time to shine while their fields are full, but, it's definitely something I will be offering this fall. You don't have to stop having weekly fresh flowers in your house or buisness when the local fields are empty. 😃

Let’s talk honestly about the true cost of flowers.

​When people see an estimate for event or sympathy florals, there is sometimes sticker shock. But no florist is trying to rip you off—behind every arrangement is a massive amount of time, energy, and financial investment:

​Sourcing & Logistics: I carefully source top-tier inventory from trusted growers and suppliers long before I touch a stem.

​Processing & Prep: My hands touch every single stem that goes into any design. Unboxing, hydrating, stripping guard petals, and conditioning takes hours of meticulous labor.

​Design Expertise: You are paying for years of professional experience, mechanics, color theory, and artistry.

​Event Ex*****on: The work includes hours of on-site setup, transport logistics to prevent wilting and breakage.

​I am always happy to work within any budget you give me, but my pricing is firm. I put everything I have into what I do, and it doesn't come at a discounted price. I do not offer discounts, price matching, or post-event refunds, because all of my time, hard work, and behind-the-scenes labor is non-refundable and non-discountable.

As we sit right in the middle of sunflower season, let's conceptualize how we can actually use them in unexpected ways.

​I know this isn't for everybody, but as a designer, this takes sunflowers to a whole new level. Moving away from the traditional, predictable yellow end of the color spectrum, these moody, deep-toned beauties with their striking green bracts elevate things into an entirely new design concept. It completely shifts how we can use such a familiar botanical.

​What do you think about it? Yay or nay? How do we feel about "naked" sunflowers?
