With more than 90% of our plants grown right here in our 20 on-site greenhouses, we focus on exceptional selection while supporting local agriculture and sustainable practices. In spring, our greenhouses come alive with colorful annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, herbs, vegetables, vegetable starts, houseplants, and custom container gardens—making Sunnyside a go-to destination for seasonal planting. When fall arrives, we host our popular Fall Festival & Pumpkin Patch, featuring thousands of pumpkins from New York farms, plus hayrides, train rides, cider donuts, and live bluegrass music every weekend. During the holidays, Sunnyside transforms into a festive winter wonderland with freshly cut New York-grown trees, handcrafted evergreen wreaths, and the Capital Region’s largest selection of poinsettias, open from Thanksgiving weekend through December 23. Whether you’re an experienced gardener, just getting started, or planning a fun family outing, Sunnyside Gardens is your year-round destination for quality, community, and tradition.

Fall fun has arrived at Sunnyside! Our season-long Fall Festival begins TODAY, September 26th, and runs daily through Halloween! 🍎🍁

Come spend the day with us and enjoy all your fall favorites, including:

As we kick off another busy fall season, here are a few friendly reminders to help everyone have a safe and enjoyable visit:

⏰ Please plan for wait times, especially on busy weekends and beautiful fall days. We are also shorthanded this season, and we truly appreciate your patience, kindness, and understanding while our team works hard to accommodate everyone.

🚗 Parking Reminder: Please park only in designated parking areas. Do not move cones or parking barrels to create additional spaces. Keeping these areas clear is extremely important so emergency vehicles can access the property if needed.

🐾 Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed. For information regarding service dogs, please visit the FAQ section of our website.

🥪 Food & Picnic Policy: No outside food or picnicking is allowed.

🎉 No parties, please. Our picnic tables are shared seating for all guests and may not be reserved or used for private parties or gatherings.

With our busy Fall Festival season quickly approaching, it’s time to start planning your visit! You can find all the information you need, including dates, activities, and more, on our website.

We know everyone is eager and excited to get the fall fun started, but please keep in mind that all festival activities will begin September 26th and run through Halloween! We’re working hard behind the scenes to get everything ready and bring our displays to life.

🎃 A quick reminder: Please stay out of our side-field pumpkin patch for now while we finish getting everything set up. We appreciate your patience and understanding!

As summer comes to an end, Sunnyside Gardens is getting ready for our busy Fall season — and we’re looking for great people to join our team! 🎃🌻

We have multiple full-time and part-time positions available:

💵 CASHIERS
We’re looking for weekday and especially weekend help. Part-time is welcome, but applicants must be available to work full days from 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Duties may include:
• Running the register
• Watering and moving plants
• Sweeping and basic cleaning
• Helping keep our front area looking great

💪 GENERAL / MANUAL LABOR
Full-time and part-time positions available. Part-time applicants must also be able to work full days, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Duties include:
• Heavy lifting
• Watering plants
• General property cleanup
• Moving plants and materials
• Helping wherever needed around the property

🚜 HAYRIDE & TRAIN RIDE DRIVERS
We’re looking for reliable and responsible people to operate our popular Fall rides! Safety is extremely important, so drivers must stay alert and aware of their surroundings while keeping riders safe.

No experience necessary — we’ll teach you how to drive!

🚗 PARKING LOT HELPERS
Help us keep our parking lot organized and traffic moving smoothly during our busy Fall weekends.

Duties include:
• Directing and parking cars
• Guiding visitors
• Helping maintain a safe and organized parking area

🎒 HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WELCOME!
High schoolers with proper working papers are encouraged to apply for weekend help!

📋 HOW TO APPLY:
At this time, please apply in person at Sunnyside Gardens.

When you arrive, ask for one of our managers, Heather or Shane. They’ll go over the available positions and help determine which job may be the best fit for you.
