There are some traditions that just feel like Wyoming. Don King Days is one of them. 🤎

Started in 1989, Don King Days was created by local ranchers, ropers and friends of legendary Sheridan saddle maker Don King — founder of King’s Saddlery — as a way to celebrate the horsemanship and Western traditions that make this part of Wyoming so special.

And 38 years later, they’re still doing it the old-fashioned way.
Polo. Steer roping. Bronc riding. Horses on the grass. The Bighorn Mountains in the background. And a whole lot of Western tradition. ❤️

We couldn’t think of a better place to spend Labor Day weekend.

Pure Dixie is set up at Don King Days TODAY & TOMORROW at the Big Horn Equestrian Center! Come watch some incredible horsemanship, soak up a little piece of Wyoming history, and stop by to see us while you’re here.

Summer, you were a good one. 🫶🏽

It’s crazy to think summer has already come to an end and school is officially back in session. So naturally, we’re looking back at some of our favorite memories from the last few months.

And if we’re being honest… our favorite parts are YOU! To the ones that stop by the booth to just say hi. To the ones who brought their girlfriends back to shop. To the familiar faces we get to see during the shows year after year… and the ones who supported us from miles away, even through a like, a share, an order, or a kind word.

You guys are a huge part of what makes Pure Dixie so special.

Thank you for showing up for us, supporting us, and making this summer one we won’t forget. We couldn’t do any of it without you.

Congratulations to Miss Rodeo Wyoming!

Over the years, Pure Dixie has been incredibly blessed to dress these beautiful women with their own Dixie Fix, and it’s an honor we never take for granted.

These ladies represent so much of what we love about Wyoming—grace, grit, hard work, western heritage, and a genuine love for the people and communities that make our state so special.

They travel countless miles, shake countless hands, inspire young girls, promote the sport of rodeo and represent Wyoming with so much class.

Getting to create something they carry along the way is just a tiny part of their journey—but one we're awfully proud of. 🤎

To our Miss Rodeo Wyoming queens, past and present: thank you for representing our home so beautifully.

Apparently it takes more than a flood to keep a Pure Dixie girl from her Dixie Fix. 😂🤎
Well… Wyoming State Fair gave us a memory we won’t be forgetting anytime soon. 😂🌧️

The rain came DOWN. So much that the water covered the first step of our trailer.

And we thought, “Well, that’s probably it for shopping.”
We clearly underestimated our girls. 😂
Shoes came off.

A tree became an alternate entrance.
A makeshift bridge appeared.
And somehow you girls STILL found your way in for a Dixie Fix. 🤎

We laughed so hard watching everyone figure out how to get inside—and honestly, it turned into one of those fair memories we’ll talk about for years.

Thank you to every single person who stopped, shopped, laughed with us, and quite literally went out of your way to support Pure Dixie.

You girls are THE BEST.
