Monday this week. Still looking for a designated sidewalk from the city or from the contractors or anybody at this point.

As of Tuesday June 2, The Yellow Gecko will be temporarily closed due to road construction, no designated pedestrian walkways and the debris and heavy equipment moving is unsafe for customer crossing.
City estimates another week at minimum.

24 hour fast track on security camera from front door Sunday. Ghost town, then volleyball at DRS, then RENEGADE OWNERS trying to unload and load their trucks! Last clip is US parking our trucks in front of the store that hasn't happened in over a week!
Disclaimer follows:
1 - We just left church and we don't have time to be renegades.
2 - Had permission to drive over sidewalks and through barriers from city project manager to handle our business.
3 - Satellite Beach Police waved to us as we were driving through the barricades.
- SO GRATEFUL to all the customers who picked items from our store to meet at the warehouse for pick-up. We appreciate the loyalty from our regulars and even the not-so-regulars through this construction. You rock and we rock! Thank you!

Currently parked at David Schechter's in the exact space that the city instructed our customers to park. Let's play a game called "Where's Waldo?"
Waldo of course would be the city's "designated pedestrian walkway to safely access businesses".
We have now been without customers, mail delivery, trash pick-up, and income for the work-week. Glad I wasn't there and needed to call EMS. Hope to see all of you soon. For now we are holding our own through internet sales.

Closed Saturday. First pic was noon Friday - they were almost done at the gas station heading our way

As you can see the front of our store is at least prepped for the next step.

We will be closed on Thursday. Every time I open the door the wind blows the dust and debris in. There is no way to safely cross and maneuver at this time. But how beautiful it will be when they get done. Can't wait!!

WE WILL BE CLOSED ON TUESDAY MAY 26th

Due to construction on Jackson Ave, The Yellow Gecko may not be open this week for its regular hours.

Please check here before coming to the store for a status.

On the days we are open, customers will be directed to park in the DRS parking lot across the street and use a designated pedestrian walkway to safely access the business.
