The Stacks and The Refinery Writing Studio are excited to announce Write Your Book September! Whether you’re an aspiring writer or deep in the writing trenches, you don’t have to do it alone! Get your momentum going by joining us in a steady sprint with fellow writers.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Write 30,000 words in the month of September! You don’t need to be writing a novel. Those working on non-fiction book proposals, children’s books, memoirs, short stories, or poems, are encouraged to join as well.

With your membership, you’ll get access to:

✅ A writer happy hour at The Stacks to connect with fellow participants.

✅ Two two-hour writing sessions per week in The Stacks after hours. Work uninterrupted alongside other participants, and help yourself to unlimited coffee to keep your energy high. We’ll have prompts for anyone feeling stuck.

✅ Office hours with award-winning local authors Amy Paige Condon and Cindy L. Otis. You can ask them anything about writing, querying, or the publishing industry! You can bring them a first page for feedback, get help with your query letter, talk through a plot issue, get advice on building tension or developing characters–whatever needs attention.
