Primary Art Supply Did you know that Primary Art Supply
began in a metal & jewelry student's living room? In 1993 it grew into an 800 sq. ft. store on Broughton St. Broughton St.

Amy started selling art supplies in order
to get the best possible prices for her &
her friends. called
“Cabaret Voltaire”. In 1996 Primary moved to 14 E. and opened the first floor. After
using the 2nd & 3rd floors for massive
parties they decided to expand the retail
space. After managing the store for 3 years,
Robyn, another SCAD student,
partnered with Amy and has been
running Primary ever since with the goal
of putting together a staff of talented
artists to support our creative community. In the summer of 2012, Primary was acquired by Blick Art Materials and moved in down the street to 318 east Broughton street. We've had a lot of fun and thank each and every one of you for all of your love and support over the past 17 years of business. Please come and visit us at the new evolution of Primary, Blick Art Materials!
