I just couldn't wait to see what was under all the crud of the raised 7 Lodge Cast Iron skillet I found on the Athens road trip last week. (What? I have impulse control? Get out of here!) 🫠

Unfortunately no arc logo, but it IS a no-notch which dates it between 1910 and 1930 which is pretty dang cool. Name me something else you can collect (not cars, I'm broke) that last this long!! 🤩

Eventually I'll get it seasoned and sold. Maybe I'll just let it go unseasoned. Who knows what I'll do, I'm sleep deprived and losing my mind. 😵‍💫

I was working in the garage and spotted my old event sign in the corner. It definitely gave me a case of the "feels". While I don't miss the massive amount of work and back pain attending events was, I do miss the summer family we would get to see.

If you have never been lucky enough to work events and shows as a small business/crafter you are absolutely missing out on a community of amazing people. Looking forward to when I can see them again as a customer.

Here we go, the one and ONLY piece of iron I bought after all those stops. A raised number 7 Lodge Cast Iron skillet. It was a good enough deal to risk all the crud and old hair 🤮 caked on it. Excited to see it cleaned up, I'm betting it's a no-notch from the 1920s to 1930s.

Leave it to me to turn a 4 hour drive into an all day adventure through north east Georgia. I picked my way through the back roads and hit as many little treasure holes as I could. Plus I finally got to meet the crew at AUNT TIQUE & UNCLE JUNK’S after following them online for years. I even found a treasure there! 😉 (that'll be another post)

I love my Lodge Cast Iron aebleskiver, but I really do need to use it more. Especially now that fall is right around the corner.
