Celebrating 2️⃣5️⃣ years of coffee & community ☕️❤️ Sentient Bean

In the early days of Emergent Savannah around 2015, the Sentient Bean became one of the first places where I regularly practiced graphic recording in front of a live audience, helping me build both my skills and my business. More than a decade later, it’s still my home base, where you can find me almost daily working on projects, connecting with people, and building relationships. The Bean was a launching pad for InkyBrittany and continues to be a space where my work and community connections grow.

My story is just one of many. Over 25 years, the Bean’s impact has reached far beyond coffee. Take a look at The Bean in Numbers to see just how much this little corner of Savannah has poured back into its people, its community, and the world around it.

On October 1, I’ll be at the Otis S. Johnson Cultural Arts Center sharing the story behind my collaboration with United Way of the Coastal Empire to visually capture the impact of 211. United Way of the Coastal Empire

Looking forward to sharing how the graphic came together, the people and stories that shaped it, and especially the creative ways United Way has continued using the graphic banner as a public information tool throughout our community.

Most importantly, it’s another opportunity to spread the word about 211... This free resource referral service connects local people and working families with help for everything from housing and food assistance to healthcare, childcare, transportation, and more.

Join us on Thursday, October 1 from 5:00–7:30 PM at the Otis S. Johnson Cultural Arts Center, 201 Montgomery Street

Had an awesome experience today taking visual notes of St. Andrew's School 3rd annual Student Leadership Conference “United in Purpose” 🌟

The event convened groups of private and public school students for collaboration, a keynote panel, and skill-building workshops

I had so much fun creating this “Portrait of a Graduate” for The Real Task Force, showing how education is so much more than academics and that the graduate on top is supported by everything underneath.
