I know I say “thank you” ALL the time…
But I don’t think I’ve ever really explained what I mean when I say it.
Because realistically, when I say thank you…
I’m saying thank you for helping change my family’s life.
When I started this business, I never… EVER… imagined that one day I would be able to say I built a 6-figure business.
Honestly, that sentence still feels insane to type.
I didn’t start with some huge plan.
I didn’t have investors.
I didn’t know where it would go.
I just started making products.
That was it.
And somehow, one order turned into another.
One customer told a friend.
Someone shared a post.
Someone came back.
Then they came back again.
And little by little, this “little business” became something that completely changed what life looks like for our family.
Because of this business, we’ve been able to take our kids to Disney — and again next year🥹
Completely remodel our home.
Take trips & make memories.
Help put our kids in sports.
Give our kids amazing Christmas mornings.
Save money.
Say “yes” to things that, at one point in our lives, we probably would’ve had to say no to.
Those are just a FEW examples…
And that means something to me that I don’t even know how to put into words.
This business has also given us more breathing room.
The ability to dream a little bigger because some of those dreams don’t feel impossible anymore.
THAT is what your support has done for my family.
And I hope nobody ever sees me talking about the success of my business & thinks I’m saying, “Look what I have.”
Because what I’m actually saying is…
Look what MY CUSTOMERS/ COMMUNITY helped me build.
Every person who ordered when I was brand new.
Every repeat customer.
Every person who came to an event.
Every person who bought from any store that carries my products.
Every person who shared a post, tagged a friend or told someone, “You HAVE to try this.”
Every single one of you put a brick in this thing.
There are still days I’m so deep in the WORK of running it that I forget how unbelievable it actually is.
And then I think about the girl who started all of this.
She had no idea.
No idea how many people would eventually use her products.
No idea how many places they would ship to.
No idea how many late nights were ahead of her.
And definitely no idea that this business would one day help give her children Christmas mornings, family trips, experiences & a life she never imagined creating from something she built herself.
That part gets me.🥹
Because yes, I built the business.
But none of it becomes successful without people choosing to support it.
You did that part.
So when I write “thank you for supporting my small business” for probably the 4,000th time😂…
What I really mean is:
Thank you for supporting my family.
Thank you for giving my kids experiences.
Thank you for helping us make memories.
Thank you for helping us turn our house into our home.
Thank you for allowing something I once considered a little side business to become something that has completely changed our lives.
And thank you for proving to me that sometimes the thing you start without having ANY idea where it’s going…. can end up taking you places you never even knew to dream about🥹🤍
XOXO,
Ri 🫶🏻
