We have a lot of new friends! Some may have received our products as gifts for the holidays, others may have met us at shows in November/December! I'm going take the next few weeks to go over who we are, what we make and the why. Today I'm going to start with soap, since it's currently what I'm making!

We believe in keeping it simple. I could create a decorative bar, piled with a bunch of oils that our skin doesn't need, but the simple solution is found in soaps dating back to the Viking, ancient Roman, Egyptian and Greek empires.
So why do these empires, thousands of miles apart and decades apart in history have relevance to today? Because each empire had their own version of vegetable based soap. Ours is made with Olive pomace, coconut oil and Raw Shea butter. Olive pomace provides a better lather and rinsing than oil, coconut provides amazing skin absorption and the raw shea provides much needed minerals and skin conditioning. These three have been used in tandem for thousands of years.

A vegetable soap using the right ingredients produces a richer, creamier lather yet is easier to rinse than animalic soaps. The process and method we use to create the soap is known as HTHP, high temperature hot process, also known as cauldron soap, baked soap or boiled soap. This matters because it allows us to "superfat" post saponification to add raw ingredients to provide a luxurious boost to the bar.

All skin is different. I can't promise you that it'll be better than any other bar for your skin type. What I can promise you is a fantastic soap bar that is gentile enough to be used on most skin conditions, even help alleviate symptoms, but strong enough to cleanse properly. My goal is to make everyone feel comfortable in their skin. As someone whos suffered a wide variety of skin ailments since I was a boy, I formulated this from scratch, with a lot of trial and error, to make myself feel good, and our regulars can attest to the quality and how long the bar lasts.
