I don't think the issue of "forgetting"is the problem. The majority of us will Never Forget. It's that the younger generation hasn't had a 9/11. So the idea is, with intention and purpose, telling them our stories of where we were that day. The tattooed images on our brains of watching the second plane hit, watching in horror each tower fall, waking up a week later with ash on our cars, the endless search for loved ones and remains, the fire that burned for a month, the phone messages from Flight 93, the gaping hole in the side of the Pentagon, the churches filled with crying and praying. The heroic acts of first responders. I pray young people never have to experience it. I still can't watch most of the videos, it still hurts. But they need to hear it. I want my son to watch the 9/11 documentary, but I know I won't be able to get through it myself. But it's important they understand what's at stake. And how a country was suddenly unified by tragedy. God bless America, let Freedom forever ring and may the next generation not take it for granted. Please share your story.

I don't think I want to be in a world where there is no Dolly Parton. Her light was just too bright. Well done, good and faithful servant.
