You get what you pay for. Cheap phones are often made with cheaper parts, are harder to repair, and are often not designed for long-term repairability. Many were built to be used until they fail—not repaired repeatedly.
**Phones that are 4–5 years old or older should generally be considered older devices.** Older phones are harder to repair, and parts can be difficult or sometimes impossible to find—especially with inexpensive, cheaply made phones that were never designed with repairability in mind.
I also have customers bring me phones **knowing they have other problems besides a broken screen**, expecting me to fix everything for the price of a screen replacement. **That's not how it works.**
If you pay me to replace your screen, **that's the service I'm providing**. Any other pre-existing issues—charging problems, battery issues, motherboard problems, software problems, or anything else—are **separate repairs and will cost extra**.
**I am responsible for the repair you hired me to perform—not for problems that already existed in your phone.** Please understand what you're paying for and the condition of your device before authorizing a repair.
