☕️Monday Motivation☕️

Today was a Big Day for me! I FINISHED the 6-week Boxing Program!!! 🙌🏻🥊

This is a huge accomplishment for me because I can’t remember the last time I completed a workout program...maybe high school?! 🤣

If you are still trying to get motivated to do something..here’s a few tips I learned over the past couple of months!

1️⃣ Keep in mind your WHY: If you know why you’re doing something, then you are more likely to stay committed to the task. If you are doing it “just because”, you won’t be sticking to it for long because there is nothing driving you to your end goal.

2️⃣ Pick ONE thing to focus on: for me it was working out 5 mornings a week. So if I didn’t have time for personal development or affirmations, that was OK! Once I master working out, then I’ll work on mastering another morning task in addition to working out

3️⃣ Schedule it! Schedule your priorities, DON’T prioritize your schedule

4️⃣ Silence your inner critic: If you try to do something that you may not feel like doing, then you will succumb to the negative voice inside your head. Instead, find something that helps you overpower that voice of self doubt so you can find your success. This was a battle for me the majority of mornings in the beginning — I need more sleep, it’s ok if I skip 1 day, I’ll workout later, just 10 more minutes...SO many self-limiting thoughts! But I kept pushing past my inner critic and didn’t let it stop me - I’m so glad I did because I feel amazing! Now that I’ve been doing this for 2 months it’s so much easier to shake those thoughts and just get up and do the things!

5️⃣ Focus on the small things: Those little tasks you do have meaning. They might not get you where you want to be today. But, they will eventually get you to your goal. I just took each day at a time and that helped to not get overwhelmed!

⏩ Now on to my next workout program!! 🙌🏻

Let’s continue our talk about creating a Miracle Morning Routine in order to “level up” your life! 🙌🏻

🔷 S: SILENCE

🔷 A: AFFIRMATIONS

🔷 V: VISION

🔷 E: EXERCISE
➖ This can be something as simple as a 10-minute yoga routine or set of bodyweight exercises you do on your living room floor. You just need to get moving and get the blood and oxygen flowing to the brain, Elrod says.

➖ I started out only working out 3 days per week so I would be more likely to stay consistent. This has become my favorite part of the morning and I’m now working out 5 days per week!

🔷 R: READ
➖This practice fast tracks transformation in any part of your life, Elrod says. “Don’t reinvent the wheel,” he reminds us. “The fastest way to achieve everything you want is to model successful people who have already achieved it.” He recommends a minimum of 10 pages per day, and suggests choosing a personal development book or a religious text

➖I usually save this part of my morning routine for my drive to work. I listen to a personal development audible book or a podcast and it has been really eye opening for me! I love this part of my day too 🥰

🔷 S: SCRIBE
➖ This could mean journaling, jotting down ideas, making a gratitude list — really, putting whatever is on your mind on paper (or on a screen!)

➖To be honest, this one has been the most challenging for me. I’m not a writer, so this doesn’t come naturally and my mind typically turns blank when I open up a blank notebook. I know there are guided journals out there, so I just need to find the right one for me and get after it!

☑️ Here’s your challenge — APPLY these 6 steps every morning!! You don’t have to spend long on each one, just start out with doing 1 minute of each one. Once you get into the routine you’ll realize how great it is to focus your time on YOU!! 🥰

I know for some of us this concept is remarkably hard to obtain. It may take years for people to wholly appreciate their bodies.

Any injustice, wrongdoing, or deceitful delusion can shift our ego and image of this beautiful and powerful frame of a life. Let’s take that back..

💥Morning Routine UPDATE!!💥

March 15th — I started waking up at 6am every morning for ME time and personal development

March 30th - started working out 3-4 times per week. I would do the Boxing workouts 2 days and yoga 1-2 days

TODAY - waking up at 5:15 to complete my morning routine! I’m also working out 5 days per week and I’ve been consistently sticking to the Boxing program with a little yoga mixed in 🙌🏻

🥊🏋🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️ Over the past month I’ve gradually started becoming a better version of myself. 💗 My mindset has shifted and I’m able to think more positively about my life and see a clear vision of the future ahead — and it’s beautiful!! 😍 I’m realizing the steps I need to take each and every day to get where I want to be. It’s not easy, it takes a lot of internal motivation, and some days it would definitely be easier to stay in bed...but you know what?! This journey is totally worth it!! I am so happy and fulfilled with life right now 🥰

☕️Monday Motivation☕️

Are you comfortable with where you are in life right now? Have you ever thought about wanting to change something, only to try then fail? So now you’re afraid to dream big again for fear of failing?

This is how SO many people think! The need to avoid pain is usually greater than our need to gain pleasure. So we end up staying in the exact same frickin spot and rationalize why it’s ok.

We tend to choose short-term convenience and short-term pleasure for a long-term pain. For example, “I don’t want to set long-term goals and dreams because I will end up feeling sad that I didn’t hit them again.” This thinking ends up resulting in being STUCK in life and not able to move forward - being stuck in the same spot in finances, business, and relationships 5 years down the road.

VERSUS

Short-Term inconveniences that will actually make you PROUD! Taking the action, doing the things - you may think of this as short-term pain for long-term benefit. So think about where you’re at in life — are you “comfortable”? Chances are you’re probably not! You’re just safe and you’re afraid to dream again.

Ask yourself these questions:
1️⃣ What is the current pain that you think will happen from taking action on the thing you are avoiding?
2️⃣ What are you getting out of taking action?
3️⃣ What is it costing you emotionally 2-3 years from now, if you don’t take action starting right now?
4️⃣ What’s the long-term benefit of actually taking action right now?

▪️What’s actually more painful?
-going after a dream, setting a big vision and getting excited?! Maybe you don’t quite hit that exact vision but you come close?!
-or is it more painful to teach your kids that they should never dream?

▪️What’s actually more pleasure-able?
-getting accepted from some friends that are also staying safe?
OR
-total freedom in life?

Biography is NOT destiny!! Just because you’ve done things up until this point, doesn’t mean it has to be that way in the future....unless you keep re-living it. 🌄

☕️Monday Motivation☕️

At church yesterday our pastor talked about the difference between trying and training - and it really hit home for me!

➖From our earliest memories, we were taught to merely “Try” things. Food, sports, classes, and even careers. This is a great way to sample life, but a useless way to live it.

➖What keeps us stuck is that we keep “trying” to do things rather than “training” to achieve them

✨To “try” is to attempt to achieve something with our existing skills and knowledge. If we fail, we just move on. Thinking of my life, I’ve always TRIED in the past to work out. Then I give up after a few weeks because it’s too hard and I’m not enjoying it.

✨To “train” is to commit to achieving something by developing the skills and acquiring the knowledge, through sustained and intentional effort and practice. When we train, we’re committing to taking all of the necessary steps until the result we’re after is produced. — Again thinking about my life, I decided to approach working out differently this time around. I read the book “Miracle Morning” to learn how to develop a morning routine in order to stay consistent. While reading this book I applied my newfound knowledge to my morning routine and I’ve been practicing it every day!! It’s been over a month since I started reading that book and I’m still going strong with my morning routine! 🥰🙌🏻 Don’t get me wrong, it takes commitment and dedication to keep going. But now I really enjoy my mornings to myself and it just sets my whole day up for success! So why would I go back to sleeping in, rushing to get ready, racing throughout my day to just catch up, and ultimately never get in any “me” time?!? That’s not how I want to live my life. So I’m going to keep TRAINING to have a morning routine that includes working out so I can feel good about myself and be more successful in life

➖It’s amazing how big of a difference being active and moving my body makes me FEEL!! Energetic, happy, calm, less stressed, ready to take on the day! 🙌🏻
