I would like to share something very special with all of my friends as tonight is the first night of Rosh Hashanah, The Jewish New Year and also my Hebrew birthday. I was born on this evening 61 years ago. As we enter the new year of 5787 we ask God for blessings of health, happiness, prosperity, and a sweet New Year.
The following week is Yom Kippur, the holiest day of the year where our souls are elevated to the highest point and actually a day of happiness not sadness. On this day we ask for forgiveness for the things that we did the past year, whether we did not give enough charity or we were not kind enough or we could of done more to help others, or what ever that may be for that person. Yes, we must ask forgiveness for those things, the most profound thing that I learned years ago from a very wise man was that we must ask forgiveness from God that the blessings and gifts that he has given us was for the purpose of helping another soul another person, another family, another community. And if we have not used those gifts that we have received, whether that is knowledge, abundance, time etc. then that is what we must say we are sorry for and ask for the ultimate forgiveness.
So on this very special and holy evening, MY birthday, my wish and prayer is for everyone in this world a very healthy, happy, sweet, prosperous New Year and we start understanding that we are all truly the same, we are ONE even though we are all unique. That everyone in this world matters and is just as important as anyone else!!! We stood together as ONE before and I promise you we will stand together as ONE again very soon. We are all created in God’s image, I AM THAT I AM!!!
May everyone’s wishes and dreams come true allowing everyone to be filled up with UNCONDITIONAL LOVE which will allow you too love and help another brother and sister in this world. Shanah Tova
