Tips for new stitchers
-Bind your edges: Use high-quality acid-free tape on canvas edges to prevent fraying and protect your hands.
-Manage your tension: Let your needle and thread dangle every few stitches to untwist the fibers and keep your tension even.
-Invest in quality needles: Using premium tapestry needles (like Bohin) makes a big difference in how smoothly the needle glides through the mesh.
-Shorter threads: Use shorter lengths of thread. 12-14”to avoid fraying and knots as you pull through the canvas.
