After 10 incredible years, the time has come for us to close the doors at Moxie Multisport.
This is not the post we ever hoped we would have to write.
Over the last decade, we poured everything we had into building more than just a bike shop. We wanted Moxie to be a place built around community, service, relationships, and doing things the right way. From first bikes to race builds, emergency repairs before big events, long conversations in the shop, and supporting athletes at every level, we gave this business and this community everything we had.
The reality is that the market for independent local bike shops has changed dramatically. More and more purchases happen online, often at pricing small independent stores simply cannot compete with. Unfortunately, what happens over time is communities lose the very shops they relied on for service, expertise, support, and connection.
We do not say this with bitterness. We say it with honesty.
We are incredibly proud of what we built over these past 10 years. We are proud that we did it the right way. We stood behind our work, cared deeply about our customers, and always tried to create an experience that felt welcoming and personal.
We truly wish it could have lasted forever, but at the end of the day, there simply is not enough local buying support to continue operating and support our families responsibly.
To every customer, athlete, friend, and supporter who trusted us along the way — thank you. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journeys, your races, your goals, and your lives. The relationships and memories will stay with us forever.
Moxie was built with heart, and we will always be grateful for the community that surrounded it.
