Hello everyone, I would like to come on here and explain a little more about myself. I am a mom to a 3 month old daughter. Her name is Scarlett, Scarlett was born at 34 weeks and she had a 2 week NICU stay. When we came home she was home for all of 10 days and she got very sick. She was rushed from a regular doctors visit to the er, where they searched for 2 days to find something that was wrong with her. She was intubated upon arriving at the hospital because she wasn’t breathing on her own anymore. We waited in the waiting room for 7 hours before being able to see her and when we were, we were asked a million questions and told over and over they didn’t know what was wrong with her. We were able to see her for 5 minutes that night before we were sent home. We got a call the next day and the first words said were we are sorry to inform you and my heart dropped. They had told us Scarlett had suffered gbs strep infection which had caused meningitis. She suffered severe brain damage. At one point in time they didn’t think she’d make it. They thought if she did. She would be blind and deaf, and severely disabled. She stayed for four weeks. Hooked to breathing machines. With severe seizures it took them weeks to get under control with medication. She had constant backslides. But one day the breathing tube came out. Then next thing was the seizures were under control. She needed up having to have surgery and she got a gtube placed because after having the breathing tube in so long she needed extra help eating. But she came home. She passed her hearing test. She is learning to crawl. She start physical and speech therapy at the end of the month. Her goals are to be able to hold things in the months and be able to roll back to front and front to back. Then in 6 months be working on bottle feeding again and crawling. She had a minor set back about 2 weeks ago and had brain surgery. Due to a little extra fluid on her brain that luckily hadn’t caused and problems. But now we are at home again taking it day by day. But because of this I do not have a full time job. I stay at home with Scarlett. This and my blog are my only means of making money right now. It’s almost Christmas time and this could be my biggest time with sales. It would help me out a lot. If you guys would like to purchase anything please let me know. We have a lot of things right now. Especially for the holiday season.
