Throwback to last fall, finding Payson Diamonds in Arizona.

These double terminated Quartz Crystals are the Arizona equivalent to New York's Herkimer Diamonds.

We just so happened to check this place out under the perfect conditions. It had just rained so all we had to do was look for were the shiny crystals.

If you're interested in finding your own treasures, we recommend borrowing a rockhounding book from your local library. Not every spot is going to produce crystals but every attempt is going to be produce great memories.
