Behind The Board Graphic:
RIDE 2022 Algorhythm
I wanted to focus on thick ass line line weights in my illustration.
By integrating a similar skull structure into popular imagery at the time, I wanted to explore this idea of these SKULL BUDDIES.
Similar to an animated series character development, i imagined these freaks living in their own universe cracking jokes about death, like the waiting room in Beatlejuice. The base logo hit I was particularly excited about by swapping out the classic skull and cross bones with branding.
The following slides represent the visual exploration and rejected concepts that were developed along the way.
Hey, why can’t skeletons play church music?
Because they don’t have any bitch ass organs.
