Hey mums and dads, advice please! 🙏

So our two boys go to a beautiful little community preschool together two days a week which they LOVE. (Seriously, community preschools right!? 🥹😍)

Our eldest is turning 6 soon and will have to stop going since they are only licensed for 3-5yr olds. We will start homeschooling after that.

However, his little brother who is just one year younger, would be allowed to finish off the year at preschool. But he is a little less confident at this stage than his older brother and I feel he would really struggle (at least with drop offs) without him there. 🥺

I’m torn!

On one hand I feel like they’ve had such a beautiful experience there together that we should just end that chapter as a family and start our homeschooling chapter together. 😍

And then I wonder, would it be good for our younger son to have a little independence from his brother (even though he’s still so young) and would it be good for our eldest to have some one-on-one time with me as we start homeschool for the first time? 🤔

What would you do?

We’re back 👋🤗 We spent the past month travelling through Western Australia and then America - our first overseas trip since having kids!

It certainly wasn’t without its challenges, such as our baby vomiting on the long haul flight all over us AND the lady next to me (😳🫠) and our pickup truck breaking down in the middle of the road just metres from the state border (😅🙈)…

But we had a great time and grew together as a family 💛 They say there’s nothing like overseas travel for child development leaps and we believe it! Our kids have come back so much older 🥹 Our baby’s language has exploded!

Plus the kids were also VERY excited to see their toys after a whole month so we’ve barely seen them the past few days… they’re just off playing together like you dream of 🤣🙌

As for Jeremy and I, we are back in the swing of all things Dad Certified and prepping for our huge Father’s Day peak season coming up (don’t worry, it’s not til September! 😉).

Happy to be back, and thanks for your patience as we were slower getting back to you while we were away 💛

For every mum feeling the weight of the never-ending (literally) to-do list. 💛 Me too.

The chores will always be there.
The house will always get messy again.

But your kids will never be as little as they are today. 🥹

I’m saying this to myself. I need this reminder right now.

So for the next week, I’m choosing FUN and connection with them. I’ll get to the chores eventually 🤪
