I’m totally obsessed with this mounted copper horse weathervane, so naturally I had to build an entire little vintage moment around it. 🐎✨

A few recent thrifted finds came together way too perfectly: an old equestrian print, ornate tole-style box, vintage stoneware, antique books, a little brass mortar and pestle, and that gloriously weathered brush.

I love when a collection of completely unrelated treasures somehow starts telling the same story. A little equestrian, a little European, a little eccentric… basically my favorite kind of decorating. 😍

And that horse? She was absolutely getting the starring role. 😍

Sometimes the price of admission to an online auction is SO worth it because the real treasure hunt happens at the picker sale! 😍

Case in point: there was quite a bit of garden art that everyone else apparently walked right past… but not me! 👀 That spiral metal plant stand?! OMG. I practically sprinted for it. 😂

And then there were all the little treasures hiding inside the house too. The vintage framed needlework, the charming little pieces, the metalware… and that red toleware tray? I’m completely in love. ❤️

It’s always the things everyone else overlooks that end up being the best scores.

And the price for ALL of this? Let’s just say… you wouldn’t believe me if I told you. 🤭

I’m starting to feel Autumn, which means Halloween is just around the corner! There’s nothing more iconic for vintage Halloween decor than a Beistle embossed wall decor!! And just ‘cuz, these super cute 1960s cookie cutters. Now, when do those pumpkin patches start to open?!

Hit the jackpot at a garage sale hosted by an antique dealer who’s downsizing their inventory! And the timing couldn’t have been better. I arrived during the final hour of this two-day sale, when everything was 50% off! 🎉

I still can’t believe I scored this incredible copper horse weathervane. 🐎✨ I’m also completely smitten with the moody Dutch windmill oil painting, scuffs and all. And that French brass horn? It might just be the biggest one I’ve found to date! 🎺

Hit an epic estate sale this past weekend and, naturally, I got there early. 😏 I was 9 in line and among the first through the doors because, as they say, the early bird gets the worm!

And this sale did not disappoint. It was packed with High Regency pieces and an incredible mix of other antiques, so there was plenty to keep my antique-loving heart busy.

You know I can never resist copper and brass, and these finds came home with me: a gorgeous copper scuttle, copper grain scoop, and an absolutely fabulous repoussé umbrella stand. 🥰✨

Add in the ornate mirror, antique portrait, stoneware, vintage tools, and all the other wonderfully aged treasures, and I’d say getting up early was very much worth it.

Sometimes the best treasures really do go to the early birds.

We toured Heidelberg Castle today while on vacation in Germany. I didn’t expect to find an AMAZING apothecary collection in their museum. As a lover of old jars and tins, I was in heaven! And, I saw the biggest mortar and pestle I’ve ever seen!! (And yes, these cabinets are originals that were from a nearby pharmacy store!)
